The structure of your chin and jawbone are crucially important for maintaining a youthful appearance, both for the neck and for facial balance. Chin enhancement surgery can greatly improve facial harmony. There is a balance between the tip of the nose, lower lip, and chin. You may feel that your nose is too big, when in fact your chin may be too short or lack projection for good facial balance. A small incision is made either under the chin or inside the mouth behind the lower lip. The implant is placed along the border of your existing bone in a small pocket. A chin implant is often performed in combination with nose reshaping, as well as to enhance the results of facelift and necklift surgery. It can make your chin and jawline appear younger and more defined.
